Class Dinner June 2022

June 22, 2022 was a special evening with many in attendance to enjoy the  buffet dinner, entertainment by Mentalist Lon Cerel, the presentation of Class Diplomas, Longevity Certificate, Top Signing Award , Gold Passport Certificates and the Meritorious Award.

After the buffet dinner everyone retired to the auditorium for the entertainment by Lon Cerel who amazed everyone with his mentalist talent.  Afterwit Ill. Bro. Brad Barco 33° presented a check to Ill Deputy Steven E. Smith 33° from the Police Square Club for the Dyslexia Center.  Ill Smith extended his deep appreciation to the Police Square Club for their continued support over many years.

Congratulations to our Class of twenty-two new 32° Masons who received their Diplomas and their Passport Book giving them the opportunity to continue their journey in Scottish Rite Freemasonry as they can travel to other Valleys and go to see more degree presentations working to achieve a Gold Passport.

Those who have already completed their Gold Passports received their Gold Passport Certificates with a special Award and Medal given to Michael Cunningham, 32° HGA for completing two Gold Passports.  What an incredible achievement.

In addition, recognition was given to Russell Lorenson 32° with the Top Line Signer Award for this years most top lined signed applications.  Such initiative is greatly appreciated by the Valley.

A special award that the Valley is always excited to present is the Longevity Award for 50 years of Scottish Rite service.  This year the recipient present to receive the award was Irving Smith 32°.It is always a pleasure to hear a recipient’s story of their masonic journey especially for 50 years or more of membership.  All the Valley members wish Bro. Smith many more healthy years and service to our Valley.  Thank you Irving!!!

Capping the evening was the presentation of the Meritorious Service to a very surprised Robert Gervais 32° who received this prestigious award for his services in our lighting booth and various other duties that has enhanced our degree presentations. It is an honor to receive him in the MSA ranks.

The evening closed with an eloquent and insightful talk by our Ill Deputy Steven E. Smith 33° and his thanks to all the recipients for their work in the Valley, the Class for their initiation to our ranks and their new journey in Scottish Rite, and all in attendance that help make the evening special for all.
